Guide
Prices vary by job, but there's a realistic range you can expect — and a few things that push a quote up or down. Here's what actually drives the number on the invoice.
Most straightforward call-outs in Paris fall somewhere between €90 and €250, covering the visit and a typical repair. That's a broad range on purpose — a cleared blocked drain and a boiler replacement aren't the same job, even though both start with the same call-out.
A blocked toilet or blocked drain cleared without dismantling anything tends to sit toward the lower end of the range. A boiler issue depends heavily on whether it's a reset or a part replacement — ask for the diagnosis and the price before agreeing to anything. A burst pipe or leak can vary the most, since the visible damage doesn't always tell you how much pipework needs replacing.
Whatever the figure ends up being, it should be confirmed before the plumber starts work, not discovered afterwards. A plumber diagnoses the problem first, tells you the price, and only then gets started — if it turns out to be bigger than expected mid-job, that's a new conversation and a new confirmed price, not a silent addition to the final invoice.
A very low quote for a job that clearly needs parts or real diagnostic time is usually a sign that something's being skipped — either the underlying cause won't actually get fixed, or there's a follow-up charge coming. A clear price with a clear explanation of what it covers is a better signal than the lowest number you can find.
